| This time we have a blatantly melee-centric party with three dwarven fighters, one axe priest (high CHR, improved turning) and one rogue-wizard. Unsurprisingly, Mencar still kills us. This is good. |
| We have very good luck with Captain Haegan and his crew. |
| Animate Dead makes short work of this fight. |
| I'd really like to get that boomerang dagger from Captain Dennis. No dice. |
| Into the sewers. The Imp's Earth Elemental is surprisingly difficult. |
| Actually, the whole Haer'Dalis quest is difficult. The mages and salamanders were non-trivial and required quite a few strategic retreats. |
| However, the wand of cloudkill from the tower combined with a few web spells still works. Ah, the joys of cheese. |
| In Valen's Name! What's with that yellow outfit? |
| Off to the Umar Hills. Lions and tigers and shadows, oh my. |
| Actually, the cleric is making the Temple Ruins quite easy. Clerics are strong in 3E and Turn Undead comes in very handy in IWG2. |
| We were able to beat the Shade Lord ... but all of our dropped equipment is trapped on the other map. Sigh. |
| New Shade Lord Plan: everyone except the one with the fire resistance runs away ... fast! |
| Now it's time to try our luck at the Shadow Dragon. This |
| Unfortunately, we still die. |
| And we die again. |
| This time we win ... but at a horrible cost. |
| Fourth time's the charm. |
| Druid Grove, Ihtafeer. She and her cronies cast some damaging spells. |
| Just for kicks, I decide to attack Faldorn. Wow, she and her druid friends can sure do some damage. |
| Notice all of the creeping dooms. |
| Cernd has "shapeshifted" into a Shambling Mound and is taking Faldorn out to lunch. |
| Now with more experience and better loot we return to take our sweet revenge on Mencar. |
| Hmm, the shadow thieves and the vampires are fighting at night. |
| Another visit to Captain Dennis -- this time, we're taking names. |
| The Guarded Compound. Actually, this fight is very tough. That glow in the lower left is Sion making our lives difficult. Notice the massive backstab, er, "sneak attack" from Ketta. |
| My people are all standing around looking stupid (note the dwarf in the top left) because we got caught by a confusion spell. |
| In the end, however, we are (barely) victorious. Love the rod that raises the dead. |
| In our arrogance we decide to take on a group of Yuan-Ti in the Unseeing Eye quest without resting. Those mages are tough! |
| Ouch! While we're jousting with the Yuan-Ti, the undead have shambled over. |
| Reload, rest, try again. Much better. No matter how you slice it, Celestial Fury is strong. |
| Turn Undead is very mighty. |
